Ampersand is the new literary journal published by the SFU English Student Union. The journal was created to showcase student-written poetry, prose and drama in a high quality format.
We're currently accepting submissions until March 1st, 2009. Each submission accepted for publication will receive a $5 honorarium, and writers will be given a chance to read their piece at the launch party in April. We're accepting poetry, short prose and drama from undergraduate and graduate students from all faculties.
Please email your submissions to sfuampersand@gmail.com, including your piece as an attachment (preferably in a ".doc" format). Please include your full name and student number in the email, and do not include your name in the document containing the creative piece itself. Only NON-PUBLISHED works please.
We also need volunteers to help with marketing, organizing, postering, and a variety of other tasks. At the moment Ampersand may be an annual publication; help us make it more! This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and contribute to making a vibrant on-campus literary culture.
